Dear Parents,

We had the first try out of using google classroom. It did seem that most of the students were able to get on and get their work finished. I do want to address questions about the limited use of computers or in homes where parents need to use the home computer for work. I will try assigning some things that will require less computer time. As it is now it looks like it is about 2 hour computer time daily. If they will not have a computer available to them that day please let me know and I will come up with some other options.

Right now the non computer assignments involve:

-.workbooks in math, grammar, religion ( I can check their work if you would send a picture of the page.)

-. silent reading logs.

- STEM journals- with STEM activities ( I will attach the calendar of activities)

- They are working on an illustrated poetry book - this includes drawings of poems I have posted and writing their own poetry.

I appreciate your patience as we work on this. If you need to email me privately. Though I will be listing assignments on the homework page, it officially not homework. Flexible instructions tries to give the student as much as school day as possible. This may mean the work will take longer than a normal homework assignment. Again let your child work at their own pace but make sure they do have a good amount of time set aside for school.
